Q.Do you have a Resort Fee?
Typically, we have a daily $25 Resort fee. However, due to Social Distancing & Safety Measures, we are unable to confirm all of our amenities as we reopen. Therefore, our Resort fee is waived until further notice. Free internet will always be available. We hope to have all amenities in place as soon as possible. If you have any questions at all, please let us know.
Q.Is Hotel Giraffe wheelchair accessible?
Yes, Hotel Giraffe is ADA accessible:

Q.Does Hotel Giraffe Have Accessible Guestrooms?
Yes, we do! We offer two room types that are Accessible
- The Classic King Accessible with a bathtub
- The Classic King Accessible with a roll-in shower*
Both are equipped with:
- strobe light visual alarms
- portable smoke detectors
- lowered peepholes in main door
- regulation handle bars in bathroom
- regulation height for in-room amenities & appliances (36 inches from floor)
- ADA Shower seat available upon request
*Classic King guestroom with Roll In shower offers a completely barrier free bathroom for full mobility

Q.When is Check in and Check out time?
Check-in time is 3:00PM. We try our best to accommodate all early check-ins but since we're a small hotel, we cannot make any guarantees. If you arrive before 3PM and your room is not ready, we will be happy to store your luggage for you.
Check-out time is 1:00PM. Occasionally, we can extend a late check-out for an additional fee. Please call our Front Desk if your departure is delayed. We will make every effort to accommodate you.
Q.Does Hotel Giraffe speak my language?
Languages Spoken at Hotel Giraffe currently are Albanian, Armenian, Czech, Slovak, Romanian, Spanish, Hungarian, Polish, and of course, English.
Q.What's on the menu for Breakfast?
Our Continental Breakfast is served daily in our Grand Lobby. Selections include hot oatmeal, hard-boiled eggs, whole-wheat toast, assorted croissants, mini-muffins, Danish and scones, bagels with cream cheese, peanut butter, preserves and butter, fresh whole fruit and fruit salad with melon and berries, fresh orange, apple and cranberry juice, assorted cereals, assorted yogurts, and a selection of international coffees and teas.
Soy milk and gluten-free options are available upon request. Please advise the hotel in advance so we can accommodate these requests, as they are not available unless requested.
Breakfast is served Monday - Friday 7 am - 10:30 am; Saturday & Sunday 7 am - 11 am.
Q.Does Hotel Giraffe offer a Hot Breakfast?
While we do offer a deluxe continental breakfast, we understand that some prefer to have a heartier meal in the morning. For those who would like to have a full hot breakfast we recommend Sarabeth’s. It is just steps from our door and it is known as one of the best breakfast and brunch spots in NYC. They also deliver to the Hotel!
Q.Are there coffee or snacks available at Hotel Giraffe?
Yes! our Grand Lobby has tea, coffee, cappuccino, espresso, cafe au lait, along with cookies, pastries and whole fruit available throughout the day.
Q.Does Hotel Giraffe have a restaurant?
Yes! Our in-house restaurant, Bread & Tulips, offers Italian cuisine in a stylish rustic atmosphere. The best part, all guests of Hotel Giraffe get 20% off of their meals!
Q.Do you have a fitness center onsite?
Unfortunately, since we are a small hotel, we do not have a fitness center on the property. However, we offer passes to the New York Sports Club which is equipped with a sauna, weights and exercise machines only 3 blocks away.
Q.What do I need to know about your credit card procedures?
Guests must provide a credit card to the hotel at time of check in to guarantee the hotel charges. We recommend you do not use a debit card for this. When you arrive and register, we must get authorization approval from your bank or card issuer for the amount equal to the room and taxes due for the stay as well as an additional $100 per day to allow for incidental charges during your stay such as phone service, room service, valet service and more.
Q.Do you allow smoking?
Hotel Giraffe is a smoke free hotel. Guests who wish to smoke must go outdoors. Our Rooftop Garden is also available when it is not booked for a private event. There is a $250 clean up fee for anyone who breaks this policy.
Q.Is there an age requirement for checking into Hotel Giraffe?
Yes. Hotel Giraffe requires all guests to be at least 21 years or older in order to check into the hotel. All guests will be asked to provide a credit card and valid form of ID upon arrival. Children are always welcome, but they must be accompanied by an adult who is 21 years or older at all times.

Q.Does Hotel Giraffe allow pets?
While we love our furry friends, our hotel is very small and unfortunately, we do not accept pets at this time. Guests that need service animals for some extra help are more than welcome to bring them along.
Q.Can I request a quiet room or a high floor?
All of our rooms are surprisingly quiet. Our windows are double-paned, and face either 26th Street or Park Avenue South. Each floor in our hotel has the same room layout, so depending on which room you have booked also determines which street you are facing. Although our first priority is to accommodate your room type, we keep in mind your request for a quiet room or a high floor. Since we are a small hotel or only 72 rooms and 11 sleeping room floors, please do not be disappointed if we cannot fulfill all requests.
Q.Do you offer Laundry/Dry Cleaning Service?
Absolutely! We offer same day dry cleaning and laundry service for articles handed in before 9:00am Monday to Saturday. Laundry/Valet bags and forms are available in the bedroom closet.
Q.How can I book a group stay?
Any booking of 5 or more rooms is considered a group and must be reserved by our Sales Office. One of the team members would be delighted to help you!
Q.How do I get the best deal?
The easiest way to make sure you get the best deal is to book direct! If you see a better deal through an online travel agency, let us know. We will always make sure to offer the best rate possible.
Q.Does Hotel Giraffe by Library Hotel Collection have a loyalty program?
No, but we encourage guests to become a member by signing up for special offers from the Library Hotel Collection.
